After running all the betas on top of Yosemite, I decided to do a clean install of the public release, to start 'fresh'. Performance wise, I can tell no difference - it's as good as the 'dirty' betas. However, as others have noted, I somehow reclaimed 20GB of SSD space - which is not at all negligeable.
