I have the 2.3Ghz MBPR w/8GB ram. When I frst got it, the battery meter was over 7.5hrs on a 100% charge. Sitting. Not doing anything.
When I applied the 1st patch, I noticed it would hit 7hrs on 100% charge, but shortly after (around 99-97%) it wouldn't go higher than about 5.X hours.
With the last OS patch, At 100% charge, I would get about 5.9hrs reading. One of the times I took it off the charger, it would go 6.2hours.
I haven't done any hard use on the MBPR since the last patch, but with the 1st patch, I could watch a .mkv show that was about 20mins on a 100% charge, and it'll drop to 92%. Another show, and it would be down the 86%. So sounds about right on battery hours with what I would be doing.
Just curious on your battery. Nothing I did is solid proof of getting worse battery, but just saying, I no longer get readings close to 7+ hours on a 100% charge.
