This is confusing. My 13 inch aluminum macbook comes with a CD called Mac OS X Install and Applications Install DVD. Aren't these things already on my computer? Do I have to install them or not?

Also, I have iWork but I've already installed it on one computer. However, I had to return that one after a few days because the computer dude said the hard-drive was shot. Will iWork install a second time on a new computer?

THANKS!!

The install disks come as a courtesy for you to reinstall as necessary
No need to use them now

Yes, iWork will install again on your new computer

No those discs are if you ever need to take your mac into an apple store and they need to reinstall Leopard onto the computer in the case of a fatal error. SO MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR DISCS IN A SAFE PLACE....I lost mine and so im hoping i never need them.

iWork should still install on your new computer if you have the serial number for it. If not I would go back to the apple store and tell them your situation. Theyll know what to do.`
