You need to get iLife. You do get iTunes for free though.

If you're holding out you don't really need iPhoto as much as you used to since Tiger has a lot of photo browsing built-in to both Spotlight and Finder now. You can even do your own slideshows just like in iPhoto.

But like it was said before, yeah you gotta buck up and buy iLife 05'

If I have Panther now with the original iLife (its all i need), can I reinstall those on tiger or will i lose them?

You should be able to install them.

Also, if you archive and install, or upgrade install, it will still be there (your current version of iPhoto). At least it should be.
