So does TC only works with TM?

I've got a MBA and a PC machine at home and would like to back them up wirelessly. Will TC do that? Or does it only work with Mac with TM software?

Lion server, Time capsule, or external HD are the only ways. Well, there are some 3rd party NAS's available, but I don't know anything about those.
