I have seen the entire conference and I know they mentioned the core location and what not but does that mean there will be voice turn by turn in maps or in any other Appstore app? Thanks in advanced:D

Core location has nothing to do with it. What will bring TBT apps is:

1) Apple changing the SDK agreement so it's allowed.

2) Apple supporting subscription payments, so large companies can charge a monthly fee.

Of course, there's already that one TBT app, which has gotten a head start without either change.

Yes it's possible, they just won't be supplying the developer's with maps.

Why wouldn't there be voice? It's up to the developer.

I mean doesn't the "voice for turn by turn" currently not being allowed? So I was wondering when they mentioned the turn by turn if it then allowed the developers to put voice into their apps. I hope so, its one of the iPhones most solicited features.

Does TomTom allow you to choose different tone voices? I heard you can pick a woman or british accented voice, etc...

I hope so and I hope TomTom has an app available soon. It would be cool to be able to pick from a huge list of voices on the iPhone.

I hope not. You don't have to pay monthly to use a TomTom so I hope there'll be at least one or two on the App Store that'll let you buy them outright, just the way you can with any other satnav. Extra maps, updated maps, extra voices etc. would make good use of the in app purchase facility.

Sygic already they will sell for around 70 euros...no subscription fees

And it has voice
