First of all I'm recovering from the angst of an earlier DSL outage around here. I called and they had a broadcast up saying there was no estimated time of recovery. Yowza. Bummer. But it came back fairly quickly. So it wasn't about someone putting a backhoe through a cable, and we're good to go for the pre-order time, I hope. It better stay up. IT BETTER STAY UP!
So now I'm playing with a red 7th gen nano. Watching a movie, and using a jambox for the sound to check out the nano's bluetooth.
Watching a movie on this nano is weird and fun, I was used to having to settle for TV shows on nanos like 3rd gen, since the screen was square and scrunchy. Now there's some real estate for normal landscape viewing of real movies. Love it.
The radio on the 7th gen is righteous. Best reception of any radio in the house. We only get a few stations but this nano brings 'em.
Why DID they omit the CLIP on this thing anyway? I was spoiled by having a clip on the 6th gen, even though I laughed and called it a nano-shuffle for awhile, but now I miss it like crazy on this nano. Gotta go case hunting I guess. Too bad. I like the no-case look of it.
Well I have time yet before the pre-order to figure out what I want to stash on this nano. I figure 8GB of music, 4GB movies or TV, change it out once in awhile, leave some room. Now I just have 2 movies and a playlist of 30 songs I dragged onto ti. Needs work!

I really wonder how the demand will be. Remember the iPad 3 pre-orders didn't sell out right away.
I'm just wondering if the Mini is going to be a big deal like the iPhone 5. Obviously people are going to buy it in numbers, but it's not as much of a big thing as an iPhone launch is.
