Just installed as my primary drive the 128 gb Samsung 470 SSD. Using it as a dual boot ( about 65 gb Mac OS X and 55 gb NTFS Win 7 bootcamp ).
My old ( 10 days old ) WD scorpio 750gb/7200 is going to get moved into optibay drive ( caddy is on the way ).
I think I am going to install another copy of operating system on that 2nd drive and keep it small along with recovery partition. So maybe 60 gb for both of those.
That gives me approx 670ish gb left to setup. I am not really thinking about using that space as backup for my primary drive ( but maybe I should so argue me into it perhaps ). I am pretty dang good about backing up externally regularly.
Primarily I want to hold data and pics/music/some video on the 2nd drive.
I guess one option is a three partition setup on the 2nd drive ( os x, recovery part ) and one big exFAT partition.
Or should I set it up into two data partitions ... one to give additional room for mac os x data and another one ( NTFS maybe ) to give additional room for the win 7?
Probably a bunch of people have been here and done that already so how did you configure system and why?
Thanks John
