So i bought 28" 4k monitor...now what ?

So i bought U28D590D samsung 4k monitor and connected it to my macbook pro retina 15".

Can anyone explain OSX handling of this 4k resolution ?
I currently use scaled 3008x1692.
Best for display looks like FullHD and would be pointless.
