So I called AT&T for an early upgrade

Bought the 4S 1 week after launch. Won't be eligible for full discount until 5/2013

Called AT&T to see if I can get an early full discount for the iPhone 5. They basically said they can have a manager override the lock in period.

BUT

I'd have to wait till they have it in stores and in stock.

Not saying it will work for everyone but its worth a try.



My GF's verizon line on the other hand expires in 4/2013, but she bought the iPhone 4 back in 2011. Called in for her to see if I can get an early full discount. Flat out rejected me.

Go figure
