She had been needing a new laptop, and today she purchased a Macbook from the University bookstore. She's never used a Mac before, but I convinced her it wouldn't be a problem.

So I call her up and ask her how things are going. She says "Why is taking so long to install? It's been over two hours!"

I ask, install what? She saw the discs that came with it, that they said install Mac OS X, and she thought she needed to put them in first. She asked, "Why would they give them to me, and why would they have "install" on them, if I'm not supposed to install them? :p

So she's coming by later so I can teach her the ropes. :D

Have her do an installation anyway. It's good to see how one works. More importantly, she can delete languages, printers, and iBloat that way.
