So my uncle gave me this Powermac G5 which stopped working recently at his work. they're in the process of upgrading to Mac Pros so they didn't see it worthwhile to send it for repair. The problem is when you hit the power button nothing happens. The system doesent make a sound. So i was wondering if any of you guys have any clue what could be the matter as i'm pretty clueless at this point.

Do any of the fans spin? Does the little power light come on? Is this G5 one of the liquid-cooled models? It might have leaked.

I'm not really sure...is there any way you can tell without booting the computer...i don't have any of the boxing or anything.
Take off the side panel and on the bottom of the case (that was under the panel) is a little sticker with the specifications and serial number.

Dead power supply, bad front panel, or dead CPU.

Usually if it bongs, the CPU is working sort of.
