Well so I decided to switch to the 3G model and damn what a nightmare it was...

I entered the store about 4:45PM after standing about 30 minutes in the line and all went bad from that moment lol.
For some reason my AT&T account was returning errors and it took them over 2 hours to get it done.

But they were very kind and gave me a brand new dock for my new 3G so I'm happy :)

Now I can watch a lot of porn sites with reasonable download times :D

Well at least now that you have the dock, you're "phone" will "stand-upright" and just lay around doing nothing...
 
Geez, that was nice of the employees. I had the same problem but I waited a bit over two hours before I got into the store (got there at 6AM), then had to wait another two hours inside the store. I didn't get anything free. Maybe I should have complained more!

You think I don't know what the dock is for????? It was my poor attempt at humor but some of you got it....

Instead of spending money on a new dock (or, you know, trying to get one for free) i just took a box cutter and shaved out my old phone's dock so the 3G will fit...

Well what I thought you understood about the dock is that you would get faster internet with the dock. Hey listen I have seen people think weird things with items before.

haha i think it's the OP that wishes he (or she....) gets faster internet with the dock. I, for one, am quite content with my Fios and my 20" monitor...

OK i'm not sure if people are reading too much into my stupid comments, or misunderstanding the OP, who does make sense.

The OP is happy about the faster internet because they got the 3G iphone; the free dock has nothing to do with faster internet speeds/quicker pron downloads. I think they understand that. I think the part about the free dock was just put in the middle of the post and the pron comment was added at the end... No worries anyone, not a big deal...

Seriously I have no idea how it is even possible not to get the red part and try to create a 'dock' theory to it lol.
