…and I noticed 1 of the 2 wires wasn't connected to the wi-fi card. Wireless runs perfectly, and everything else seems to work regardless. :confused:

It was the wire on the left that wasn't connected.

Also, I love how the A1181 I bought when Apple first announced the WhiteBook still runs fast and smooth and is so easily self-serviced. Can't say that about any PC laptop.
 
The wires are the antennae wires and both should be connected. They're gray on the right and black on the left as pictured Here in step 13.

So why does my wireless still work perfectly? :confused: I'm not ruling out demonic possession just yet.
