Will they wait until 28th to send it out, or will they send it out before so we have it in the mail by the 28th?

i assume you preordered from apple, and that says delivers the 28th.

if from amazon, it says released 28th, but no info is given about delivery

I ordered from Apple.com this morning, it said delivery date was Aug 28th. I'm assuming thats when you can walk in the door at an Apple store and pick it up as well, but I'm betting mine will arrive the 28th in the mail.

Does anyone know if it will arrive at our doors Friday for sure?? I'm assuming that if that't the case, we'd start seeing shipment notices..

I remember when Leopard was released I ordered it through Apple.com and received it on the release date. Assuming their process is the same, you should actually get it in your hands on Friday.

We will get it ON Friday (the 28th). It was the same deal with the iPhone 3GS, pre-order online and it's DELIVERED on the release date.

They will ship it overnight on Thurs.

Awesome... I won't be home Friday, and I read that they require a signature. But I also saw that there was an option to pre-sign? Do I see that option when I get the shipment notification?

Yes, there is a form you print, sign and leave at your door.

Can we refrain from the "zomg I got a tracking number that says it will deliver a day early!!!" threads :)

No. They were there last time, they will be here again.

I bet we'll even get people that will call FedEx or UPS and try to get them to deliver it early. Then start a thread when they wont.
