So I want to do a clean wipe of my MAC but...

2. I have spent hours and hours creating itunes playlists... is there anyway I can back them up so I have them after I wipe everything off the mac?

1. Insert OSX disk, select Erase & Install
2. Back up your entire iTunes folder

You should be able to replace the iTunes folder on your PC with the one from your Mac (in My Music instead of Music), but you can't reinstall OS X on your PC.
