and, it did the normal thing where it flashed a white screen but then, it just went back to the home screen. so i didnt care because it was working so i just ignored it,but then i went into my pics, and it was a screen shot of my phone... i was shocked. is the iphone capable of taking screen shots?

Yes if you hit the power button and the home button at the same time it takes a screenshot.

Yes, hold down the home button and quickly press the sleep/wake button on the top and it will flash onthe screen and take a pic of whatever is on teh screeen and put it in your photo library.
