Let's say I'm tired of waiting and decide to buy a current Mac Pro this week. The big use for my wife and kids would be Boot Camp and the XP games.

1. Can I install a non-Mac PCIe card into one of the remaining three slots to use when booted in XP?

2. What parameters do I need to be aware of in finding a PCIe card that will work in the Mac Pro under XP? (i.e. the card can't use additional power from an internal power connector, etc.)

3. Is there a simple method to handle switching between the cards when the Mac Pro is in OS X or XP? (i.e. can I somehow tell XP to ignore the built-in GeForce 7300 GT so the switch happens automatically with the reboot)

4. Any suggestions for good graphics cards that will work with XP in a Mac Pro?

I haven't made up my mind yet as to what I'm going to do, but my wife's XP box is locking up on her on a regular basis. I was able to convince her that getting the Mac Pro would be a good alternative to trying to fix her machine, and that signs pointed to the update that did not happen today.

I'm sad it might come to this, but we can't wait forever.

Thanks!
