How does that figure into me purchasing the Apple Pro and later the Pro Max? I would need how much of a down payment? Both on Verizon. I’ll even do trade in if necessary. Or maybe get the mini on Verizon and Max on AT&T? What do you think? Thanks.

I’m not sure I’m following the questions. Do you need to buy two phones? Or are you buying the first to hold you over until the Max?

I feel like this is an easy math question so I must be missing something. Where’s the spending limit? Apple Card? You do have to have enough credit to cover the entire cost of the phone, less trade in.

I think OP wants to buy both phones using his credit limit of $1500 to first buy the 12 PRO and make monthly installments. Hopefully, when the 12 Pro Max is ready for preorder, to have enough available from the $1500 to make a down payment.

I don't see how the OP can do this unless trading in phones. If I hadn't bought AC+, it would have been $1089 for me counting tax. $90 right away for taxes. So that leaves $411 for the second phone unless the OP were to make a payment in the next week against the account. Of course, the 3% cash back comes into play at the margins.

And I don't know how the monthly payments work. If someone made an extra $500 payment against the card, do you have the regular payment due the next month (shortening the term), does it get recalculated over the remaining months, or can you skip the next several months?

You barely have enough for one, having a $1500 limit says you're not a good risk and you're here proving the point.

So now I'm being told I have $1500 left of my spending limit by two reps. I'm hoping that they're right

Wow thanks. But I pay all my bills on time. And I don't mean just with Verizon etc. I have a $4000 spending limit with t-mobile. So what does that say?

T-Mobile has a credit card?

I only have a $9000 limit on my Apple card, which I got last year for the 6% cash back on iPhone purchases. But CC companies seem to be tighter on limits now, due to worries that people will binge on CC debt, then be out of a job due to COVID. I wanted to bump my limit up a couple months ago a few thousand dollars on the Apple card, and they refused even though the credit score they told me I had was 833.

1st gen SE, I'm a bit behind the times
I still have my 5S I use for the gym. I swap sim cards with my 6 Plus. I initially bought a XS Plus, then decided to give that to my mother for her birthday. I'm also behind, but this year I am upgrading to the Pacific Blue 12 Pro Max. The only feature I wish this Pro lineup has is 120hz refresh rate which I think will be featured on the iPhone 13 Pro, but I can't barely see the difference between 60hz versus 120hz anyway. Since Blue is my favorite color, I have to upgrade. It's a must.
