You just don't get the little animation? ... I was... looking forward to it yesterday but I missed the notification. But a few minutes ago I comepleted my move circle and got the 7/7 achievement and I don't know what I did wrong, I mean they lagged, and my screen was already on the watch face, just the little red dot popped up, swiped down and it was just the three notifications, of the achievement, of closing my ring, and something else I can't remember... but no animation. Do you have to set the display to sleep and then turn it on to get it? Or do you just not get an animation if you get two achievements at the same time?

Considering so many are ones you get by closing rings, if that's the case, then you barely get to see the little animations?

Also, it's always the little gold star that gets drawn by sparks when you get a "bigger" achievement like that, right?

I'm new to the Apple Watch.. I know this is kind of trivial, and pointless.. But I'm curious. 🤔 I want to know how my little device works..

Ohhh, is it only the gold ones that give out an animation?

Take a deep breath.

Uh, sometimes, yes, maybe, dunno, sometimes, it seems, NO DEFINITELY NOT!

Does any of this help?

Just to be clear, I have not attempted to answer any of these questions, but thought you should get FEEDBACK!

There is an algorithm, but I do not know what it is. Often, you will get 1, 2 or more at the same time, but not always. Sometimes, you don't get them at all.

Hello @Regbial - Here is a short cut for you....

on the interweb, use the search engine of your choice and type in "Apple Watch Awards" then "enter" This should tell you all about the awards that you need to know. It would take ages for me to explain it all and everything that goes with it and because I'm over 70 I don't know how much time I have left to explain it all to you.

Best of luck.

Ben

As sarcastic as this comment is it’s definitely the most useful one.

You can get rewards but no notification. It happens all the time. I'll see my rings are all closd (or past closed) yet never get the 'fireworks' or 'you did it!' notification.

Still counts though. Just have to open Activity to see your medals.

Yep, happens all the time. When I close all my rings and end my workout, I'll not lie... I sit there and wait for a buzz to see the spinning 3 rings display. :) Doesn't happen all the time but sure makes me feel special when it does.

I've had the thing cut off during the animation and just return to the watch face, do it again, dump back to face, then the third time it does the entire thing and let's me actually read it!

Another bug I've had is I'll actually close the rings but the activity app is 'stuck' a few hours in the past and I'm still getting notifications like "you can still do this" (despite it already playing the all three complete alert) and the only fix is to reboot the watch. Then it 'catches' up.

Man that sucks... Oh well... I'll be leaving haptic on, just so I miss them less frequently. (I had it off before) I don't mind having it on, I think it's great... but I HATE that there's no way to turn it off for the timer, and the timer specifically. 😡 I can turn it off for messages, reminders, etc.. specify all that... but the timer? what I use the most? nah.. and it gives you this really prominent series of taps u know, like.. CHILL bruh. 🙄 I can practically feel the battery draining out like water balloon with a hole on it. Maybe this... needs some feedback to Apple no? hmmm.. maybe I should get on that...

I'm a bit paranoid about these rechargeable batteries.. 😬

...and yes... ...gimme my virtual shinies 😳🤤

In my experience, the animation appears only when you meet one goal at a time rather than multiple or when you close all goals. Do not disturb mode will prevent the animation notifications.

ive never known this since the Apple Watch S3!
