iPad mini So, iPad mini 2 this fall; iPad mini Retina next Spring?

So the latest rumor or guesswork is that Apple will release two new iPad mini within like 7 months just like they did with iPad 3 and 4?

I read an article on flipboard that said they were having trouble making the IGZO displays for the mini 2.

But that they have sorted out production problems and they expect to meet quota for the next mini.


The report said that LG is “making new headway in producing Retina panel technology for use in the next-generation iPad mini,”

According to LG, there will be an iPad Mini with retina in October due to the fact that they have met their production quota

They really have to start making HD Displays for mini and soon.

new nexus 7 is coming with 1080p display, even cheap chinese tabs have better resolution. My ainol venus tab(120$) has a sharper screen, the text is sharper than mini.

Although i love my mini, this compromise on screen resolution is not really expected of a "premier" company like Apple. I hope they rectify this "mistake" with mini 2.

Now that Google is selling a Nexus 7 with a 1080p screen the mini 2 will have to be retina.

I doubt it. If they intend to do a retina mini and don't this year then it will be next fall.
