AT&T Prepaid supports eSIM. My wife and I both use it, as do many others.I’ve been using AT&T prepaid for the past 10 years, since the 14 pro has no SIM card slot, am I unable to get one? I always pay in full upfront for my devices but I’m confused as to how one with prepaid would use an iPhone 14 Pro
So how exactly am I supposed to upgrade to an iPhone 14 Pro? Let’s say I get an iPhone 14 Pro delivered to my home, what’s the setup going to be like? Normally id just pop my sim into the new factory unlocked iPhone and that would be it but since there’s no sim slot in the 14 pro how’s the process going to go?AT&T Prepaid supports eSIM. We chatted with customer service. Told them we were moving from an old iPhone to a new iPhone 14 model. Said we needed to do a SIM swap to the new phone using the EID and IMEI numbers (from the new phone — found under Settings, General, About). So how exactly am I supposed to upgrade to an iPhone 14 Pro? So basically it requires calling costumer service? I’ll read the post later on todayWe chatted with customer service. Told them we were moving from an old iPhone to a new iPhone 14 model. It was done in about 20 minutes once the agent started.

What’s the process like if you want to sell your 14 pro sometime in the future or let’s say you want to give it to another family member and upgrade to another phone? How do you get your number off from the 14 Pro?I am also on prepaid.
It took me going to the store to get my service moved to my 14 ProMax. They used a QR code on a card and I was up and running in less than a few minutes. Hopefully, next year it will just be a simple transfer.
physical SIM cards are being eliminated in America and soon everywhere.
You just delete the eSIM.What’s the process like if you want to sell your 14 pro sometime in the future or let’s say you want to give it to another family member and upgrade to another phone? How do you get your number off from the 14 Pro?
Hopefully by next year, they will have things fixed for Prepaid AT&T customers. I still would not give up my $25 a month account for anything.I hope AT&T Prepaid eventually supports automatic eSIM transfers like AT&T Postpaid does. Calling customer service is a pain especially if you don't have access to another phone. One of my friends gave customer service the EID and the IMEI, and when the rep submitted it, the call dropped, since the service was moved to the eSIM, but the eSIM still wouldn't work, so he was stuck with no phone and had to go to the AT&T store.
I'm on the $300 per year plan. My renewal is next month, so I'm going to port out to T-Mobile and port back in to AT&T Prepaid to get the 16GB per month promo at the same price. I also bought my refill cards already when Target had them on sale, so my entire year will cost about $250.Hopefully by next year, they will have things fixed for Prepaid AT&T customers. Sounds like a lot of trouble for $50. I depend on my phone for my business and am quite happy with my $25 per month plan with unlimited text and talk and 8gb of data. I average about 3gb per month and with rollover, I have a bucket full of data in an emergency.I'm on the $300 per year plan. It's really not a lot of trouble. I buy the cards at target.com when they are on sale, so it only takes minutes. Then you just paste the codes into the AT&T website once a year right before the plan renews. I've been on the $300 plan for 8GB for a few years and have always just pasted in refill codes from target.com... no taxes either. This has nothing to do with porting out and back in to get 16GB, which probably will take a bit of work.Sounds like a lot of trouble for $50. So ironic, that ATT Prepaid is supposed to be more self serve, less agent costs, and here we are requiring more labor for an esim on Prepaid than the Post paid button swap in settingsI hope AT&T Prepaid eventually supports automatic eSIM transfers like AT&T Postpaid does.
