Is the iPad2 locked to a carrier?

I'm in the UK and will get one from the US (family) if it's unlocked, but if locked, I'll get it here instead.

-You are absolutely able to swap out the Micro Sim card which is great for travel.

-OK so The IPad 2 has no simcard lock right?

-I just want to confirm this for you, just one moment.

-There's no contract on the iPad, you can use different providers as long as they are compatible.

-Oh that's great... Ok so I just want to confirm one more time before I go... No contract and No ATT network
lock on IPad 2. Which means that there is no sim lock... And I can use any sim card or any wireless provider
with my Ipad 2

-Correct! You sure can you are not locked to a particular carrier.

Right, I guess I missed all this over the last few days.
That's great news.
