Phil Schiller just said the 9.7" iPad Pro weighed less than a pound but he didn't mention the thickness and width and weight When compared with the iPad Air-2 ? Anybody shocked with that ?

Same weight, thickness, etc.

Was battery life ever mentioned? I was a bit busy while watching the conference. Think i missed it.

No it wasn't. Nor was the amount of RAM. Then again Apple never publicise RAM. I'm hoping it's the same as the 4GB in the 12.9" iPad Pro.

Great point I missed that point completely ! No News on the RAM !

Apple never says specifics on the RAM. But I'm gonna go on a limb here...

My guess is that the 9.7" Pro has the same A9X as the 12.9" Pro (so, 4GB RAM), just downclocked a bit. The comparison page puts the 9.7" version at a disadvantage to the 12.9" in the CPU department.

Battery life seems to be the same although CPU and Gpu power is lower than the 12 inch pro. Pushing less pixels so lower power to keep battery life up.
