So it turns out I actually do have image retention.

I ran the test and it tested positive!
So did mine. And yet, in over 3 month of my daily work with the laptop I never saw even a hint of image retention on practice (and I do work with static UIs).
Hmm, so I went to the Apple Store, and suddenly I didn't have image retention?
We ran the browser test, and also Apple's own test within their netboot server that holds the checkerboard for 4 minutes, not 10.
Neither test produced ghosts/shadows, and I was surprised as it was very clear when I tested it before.
Anyone else? Maybe because it wasn't on battery power?
