When you try to launch Logic 8 from the dock or the .app a dialog pops up telling you it's not compatible with this version of OSX (10.7). But you go and launch it from the terminal and it boots right up. Just a heads up to anyone who might be wondering.

After an afternoon of testing I didn't run into anything out of the ordinary using it, all my plug-ins work, everything. I get that Apple would like me to buy Logic 9, but I don't see why they should try to lock Logic 8 users out. :/

Oh great - I assume Logic Express 8 would be the same, as it's built on the same foundation. How do you launch apps from Terminal?

It's not apple forcing you to upgrade, it's the App geninunely not knowing about the fact that 10.7 exists. it simply sin't "Supported" and the app "Freaks out" and doesn't intend you let you run it.
