so many different google apps i am confused as to the difference between some

not really been into google apps but since i got a google home ive grabbed the ones that will or might do things with it

so i have a google home app
and a google app
and an assistant app (but i had to go to the uk store for this, its not in the portuguese one)

can i bin any of them as the others do what they do? opening some things in google home make google assistant open so are they two different versions of the same thing?
