It said there was a "threat" and it had to restart. That has never happened on my black macbook. Anyone know why it randomly restarted? Thanks

Did it look like this?

If so that's a kernel panic. Were you by chance using Google Chrome? That has been known to cause kernel panics on the 2012 models.

Yes I am using google chrome I love this browser but it just went to the loading screen when you first turn it on with the apple logo and spinning icon and then eventually restarted. I'll stop using google chrome if this is the problem hopefully.

It's a known issue with google chrome with the HD4000.

thanks for the head-up. I'll stop using chrome. I have used my black macbook for 7 years and she's never restarted and this one did in the second day of use. What browser do you guys recommend me to use? Thanks
