something with the stupid windows installer..cant figure out how to fix it and i can't install iTunes!!!!! can i go to an apple store and update my iPhone to iOS 5?
 
I don't think that they can update your phone to iOS5 in store, but give it a shot. Even if you got upgraded, you'd still be needing to sync to your computer.
