so my tv shows vanish each time I connect to iMac

First off iTunes doesn't even show that I am authorized to the same shows that the new iPad can see. Example, I have both S1 and S2 of The Expanse. iTunes on the Mac only shows S2. So on the iPad it all lists as cloud but I went ahead and downloaded it so I can take it on a trip.

Well lo and behold when I connect it back to the Mac it deleted all the downloaded TV shows. i have it not checked to sync so I was hoping it would leave anything on the iPad, especially stuff it doesn't know
