This is most likely. If you have a current MacBook pro (or Retina Pro), unless you need more battery life I don't see a big reason to upgrade until 2014!There doesn't have to be an event. There are no new major features, just a processor upgrade, perhaps GPU upgrade as well. They might just release it in stores along with the new Haswell based iMacs in July
