I bought Samsung Galaxy S 4 last friday. Of course, I'm still within the return window till the 20th, so I can test it out. So far I like it, but if I don't then I'll go buy the 5S but for me I don't see the point because after playing with my samsung galaxy S 4 and looking at the 4S, it made my iphone 4S so tiny.
 
If you don't like it I suggest the HTC One for android. It's Aluminum unibody, 4.7" 1080p like the s3, two stereo speakers (You ould be surprised how awesome this sounds), lcd (Which means far brighter then the s4), etc.
 
I'm sticking with my 5 and holding out for the 6. I really really like the fingerprint sensor, assuming it works as advertised. But that alone doesn't justify what it would cost me. I'm just going to get iOS 7 and pretend I got a new phone.
 
I'm sticking to my iPhone 5. Absolutely nothing special with the 5S or 5C that has captured my interest. I'm waiting for the 6, where the REAL upgrade will happen. Nothing spectacular about what they've brought to the table with their 'new' phones.
 
I was considering a 64 Gig 5s before the event.

After the event decided to keep my 5 and buy an 11" MBA with the money instead. :D
 
to be honest I'm fairly gutted! I really wanted to see the same hype iphone 5 had. I wasn't expecting much form factor wise but I was at least expecting something (finger print sensor?? please! )

I've had every iphone since the first one and I have 3 ipads a mac mini and a mac pro! So I am somewhat of an apple fan boi!

I was majorly disappointed with the whole announcement, lack of hype (even the engadget live blog seemed rather muted). So much so I started looking at other phones. I came across the sony z1 and read review after review on the initial impressions. I was so impressed I have ordered it. I am rather ashamed to say I felt awful!! Even I realise thats pretty stupid comment!! Its only a phone!! However it is true and I am looking forward to receiving my new phone. I said I'd still use my ip5 but after playing around today in the phone shop with a couple of the high end samsungs.....I don;t think I will. I actually had an awful nights sleep after ordering but now is the time to try something new. I am hoping the IP6 will blow everything out of the park but for now the Z1 looks a whole new ballpark compared to the 5s.

I do slightly fear for apple though. I am a huge apple fan and if I have been seduced across by one of these talldark and handsome massively specced phones I'm guessing there is probably a huge group following me in the same situation.

I will keep my iphone 5 and wait for the iphone 6, now I'm looking forward to the new rmbp and ipad mini :)
 
I need to replace my 2010 MBP, so time for me to shift focus too. Somehow I don't think I'll make much headway until after my 5C shows up next Friday.
 
Buying 5s. Most likely trading 5 for 5s. Possibly passing down 5 to one of my young and trading a 4. Hard to say.

On upgrades. I never pay full retail. Oh. Except for the original, of course. ;)
 
I'm getting a 64GB white/silver iPhone 5S even though I have a 64GB iPhone 5. I wasn't going to at first but I've upgraded to every new iPhone model since the original and I'm not going to stop now. Admittedly there isn't a big jump but I'm looking forward to the new processor, the new motion/acceloremeter related processor (M7), the much better camera and the finger print sensor on the home button.
 
The poll here is someone taking the piss out of the iPhone 5c and 5s. Thus I'm not going to partake in it.

Will make sure I enjoy & make the most out of the iPhone 5s while you spend the next 55 weeks reading into the iPhone 6 :) Most phones are great anyway.
