Hi,

I have a new 15 MBP and whilst I'm seeing a lot of improvements with graphics and processor intensive tasks, I've not seeing much in terms of basic tasks, startup, browsing, viewing photos etc compared to my old iMac and I think its down to the basic 5400 stock HDD I have in it.

I'd always planned on replacing the drive pretty soon after getting it, and figured now would be as gooder time as any. I simply can't afford a SSD and need more space than they can offer right now anyway so looking at ~500GB mark.

The Momentus XT seems to be getting some really good first reviews and could be the way forward - anyone any advice?

Cheers!
