I thought when you pre-order from Apple.com, you got either delivered home or to your local Apple store.

But when I get to the pre-order process, it looks like pre-oder is for delivery to your home. But reservation is just make an appointment at the store. For reservation, they don't even ask for any CC information. Am I missing anything?

Reserve = Pick up in store and pay when you pick it up
Pre-Order = Pay now and have delivered to location of your choice

Nope - with pre-order you buy it now and have it shipped to your home.

With reserve, you are simply reserving a phone which will be at the apple store you designate - with your name on it for launch day only. If you do not ppick it up that day - it goes back into the store's stock to be sold.

Looks like you are right. Do you know if I can reserve it for the next day pickup? I won't be available on June 24...

It's probably the same as reserving, but I chose the preorder option and then opted for in store pick up when it asked what I wanted to do.

Not that I'm aware of. You can probably login on the 24th and reserve for the 25th. Or perhaps there will be a reservation cutoff for the 24th before that. If there is, Apple will tell us.
