I have the possibility of relocating to Calgary (new job etc). Whilst I have had a quick googleyoogley and it sounds great; I'd like to know about it from those macrumarians who actually work and/or live there.

Whats it really like to live there? Whats the intellectual social life like (I am not a clubber, I prefer a good coffee shop with a book (a macbook of course)) ;)

Whats the downers to being in Calgary (and trust me the cold is on my plus side!) - I hate the heat.

so tell me anything you want about Calgary please?

Well never lived there but was talking to a friend who does a couple of weeks ago he is paying $2000 a month for a 3 bedroom condo so your salary better be pretty good, he was telling me the 1 bedrooms for anything decent is in the $1000+ range.

Well from what I hear - Calgary Rocks :) its got loads of cool stuff, is cheaper than Gibraltar (its disgusting the prices here), and has snow :) wonderfull

I am still negotiating the job, but fingers crossed for me I want this lol
