long story short i cracked the screen on my original 2010 11" air loved the machine so i bought the new one

after owning the first ten i can say this unit is much more refined in subtle ways

1. MUCH better keyboard. keys feel better, not as "loose" have a very solid feel. if you are familiar with blackberrys it is like going form an old curve to the newest bold

2. track pad same deal it has a much better sound when you click it hard to explain

3. backlit keyboard forgot how much i loved it from my MBP

4. no change in the screen for me at least

5. the i5 is a little quicker nothing very noticeable

i prefer the base machine. i do everything 99% of people do
browse the web
use excel
watch hd movies and youtube

it screams even with just 2gb of ram. i never use any system resources even

Actually the i5 processor is substantially faster, but you may not notice based on your usage pattern. And for many, the fast SSD in the MacBook Airs is what they notice first.

very true!

coming from the intel x25 it is noticeably slower but it does boot faster oddly enough
