like the title says, i mean if it happened then what did they do in the overnight? seems like nothing?

Some people reported that there was in fact an overnighter in Apple Store (I remember at least one guy claiming that he drove near an Apple Store at 1am and there were still people and a guard). Just because there was an overnighter doesn't mean that the release will happen on the following day though.

They had a group of people in the store overnight.

Does it matter what they did? It just means that something new is coming!!! Hurray!! I had NO idea that was going on...;)

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

They're probably prepping their employees on how to deal with Lion and new hardware. However, this does not mean that Apple will be releasing it today or tomorrow.

Maybe someone misunderstood. An overnighter occurring on July 14th could mean tonight after business hours. Someone took that as meaning early July 14th morning (after midnight) but is actually suppose to start tonight. What time do Apple stores usually close? 9PM?

i think 11pm in the us

oh sorry, i guess they close at 9.

If some of u guys could check like around 10 or 11, i mean if the store will still be open then it means the are having and overnighter and it was indeed misread.

I don't think Lion is going to come out this week. That's pretty much a given at this point. Any overnight training sessions being conducted this week would be preparation in advance, and nothing to get excited about really.

why not lol

PLEASSEEEE SOMEONE CHECK TO SEE IF ANY APPLE STORES HAVE BLACKED-OUT WINDOWS :D

Another forum user just reported that the stores in England are blacked out, though I have no way of verifying this.

I am thinking that tomorrow is a very possible launch day. However If it does not come out tomorrow, I will choose to sit back and relax a little. No need to get worked up over a OS.

Not true. Apple Stores will help users install Lion in stores using Apple's network.

Ok then, unless you take your computer to the Apple Store (picture someone with a Mac Pro , hauling down to the Apple store to download lion) you can't download and install Lion. (or buy the physical media)
