Don't like those black bars, why no 16:9 camera mode Apple?

Although I'd prefer not to, I can live with the black bars.

What I _cannot_ live with is the tiny space that one has to work within with the keyboard taking up the majority of the screen space.

This makes taking notes, composing emails, SMS & the like, a very cramped & error prone proposition.

Had Apple chosen to provide a 4.65" display like a Nexus for example, the open area that one has to work in is very spacious & conducive to fast, error free typing.

I can only hope that in some future model Apple will wake up & "get it", as Samsung has with my spacious, fun, full sized Android phones.

and websites 4" vs 3,5"

Videos are 16:9.
Still cameras are traditionally 3:2 (for film and transparency and their DSLR equivalents) cheaper point-and-shoots are 4:3
Unfortunately, Apple chose to match the cheaper ones so we'll have to compose and crop to suit the subject

That's what I was afraid of on the keyboard. Why not split the keyboard like the iPad? Hopefully in an iOS update. Or hopefully they just didn't try it...

It's funny, Phil Schiller said you get to see more of the web. From that photo it looks like we get to see less of it. :)

You see more in portrait, less in landscape. Apple apparently made it so that the iPhone 5 zooms in even more when in landscape mode (which is kind of ridiculous since it's really not necessary to be zoomed in so far with the retina resolutions)
