over hurricane/tropical storm rita...
the company i work for got hired by chevron to fly over 8 of their oil refineries and video the damage after rita got ahold of them...
and on the way we went right next to the eye, everything had calmmed down so its not to crazy looking, but the tanish spot is it... the eye...

WOW! That is possibly the coolest picture I have seen today! (Then again, today is only 17 minutes old for me) but still, nice job!

Though I don't seem to see any Chevron buildings.... :p
 
Bet that was kinda strange being above the storm like that. Very cool.
 
yeah, it was pretty nuts seeing that, but seriously, it was such a pretty sight, the photo does no justice to how nice of a site it was

suprisenly it wasnt to bad at all... just a little bump here and there, but nothing bad

WOAH! OMG. That's sweet!! Never seen a storm like that. Doesn't look that bad from up above....
 
Awesome pic. Were you in a Lear Jet? Looks like it from what you can see of the wing.

Funny thing, I clicked on the link hoping that you flying meant you had been the pilot, because that would have been really cool.
