I went for bootcamp'd stuff like Battlefield4, Battlefront 1 & 2, and GTA V. All great deals.

Hitman, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided DLC.
For Windows: Resident Evil 2 remake and Doom Eternal.

I cleared out much of my wishlist:

  • Death Stranding
  • Halo: Master Chief Collection
  • Star Wars Squadrons
  • Wolfenstein II
  • The Evil Within 2
  • Fall Guys
  • some of the Doom games

I rarely play games on my Mac since I have a more powerful custom built Windows PC for the purpose.

I also picked up Squadrons tho it will not run on the bootcamp'd iMac 2020.. it goes to the 2013 Dell Optiplex

I picked up the C&C remaster, but after hours of troubleshooting I still couldn't get it to run. First time I requested a refund from Steam. Shame, as I really was hoping to replay C&C and Red Alert.

Should have picked up Death Stranding. Looks interesting, and weird.

thats strange. C&C Remastered is my most played game in bootcamp. What was going wrong?

Like pretty much all creative content, I always look at the creator. Music, literature, film, art, dance, video games, etc.

Death Stranding is from Hideo Kojima. For me that's good enough for closer inspection. It's like John Williams movie soundtracks, Martin Scorsese films, Picasso sculpture, etc. Anything from David Lynch.

Just put Death Stranding in your Steam wishlist. It goes on sale periodically.

I can't even remember the error it was throwing. Once I finally got to the menu without crashing, as soon as I'd start the campaign it would crash to desktop. My desktop far exceeds the minimum requirements. In hindsight, I wish I had thought to try it on my laptop at least before requesting the refund. I played so much C&C and Red Alert back in the day.

I play with two friends and we have a no touch first 30 mins rule and a no touch ore miners rule.. it makes for 3 hour long matches. a lot of fun..

I grabbed a few games in their winter sale but not as many as I picked up in the autumn sale a couple weeks prior.

No worries, I have enough videogames in my library to play for years. I still have a bunch in my wishlist, I'll wait for deeper discounts like 50% or more.

I picked up a few of the holiday freebies from GOG and EGS.

I also have a four month Xbox Game Pass subscription for a total of $21 ($1 first month + discounted 3-month sub for $20). I will likely let the Xbox sub expire. Most of the games on it that I want to play I already have purchased on sale.

Heh, I repurchased the C&C remake to try it on my old Alienware 13 R1 laptop.

Disco Elysium. I like classic point-n-click adventure games, but this game seems to be too much for my old computers (all having intel integrated graphics).

It reminds me why I prefer to game on my phone instead.
