So far I've tried....
1. Air Video..... works great, buffers really well, but you always have to have your computer running, so if you're away for weeks, that doesn't really seem like a good option to have a Mac Pro running all of the time just to stream content.
2. Orb ........ I gave up on it. Really buggy for the Mac (but it's been a few months now since I've used it) and the it's the same situation as above.
3. Pogoplug .... this is my favorite so far because it's an independent device made just for downloading and streaming content from a hard drive at home, but the iphone app needs a bit of work. It's very basic and they need to somehow work on the buffering. With 3G, many times an mp3 will play for about 1 to 2 minutes and then just stop, so needless to say, a stripped down web-friendly mp4 does even worse.
Is anyone here having good results with 3G streaming with content from home on their iphones and how are you doing it??
