You need to sleep well, it's good for your health. I was young and didn't understand it, and now I regret it and I can't get my health back

so 6 or so weeks in I still don't know what to do with this "score". I do see it every morning as I look at the Health app for vitals and sleep. I cannot find anywhere how this score is calculated and why the 3 categories have the numbers they do.
I suppose the duration of 50 you get when you sleep for 8 hrs (I've gotten that a few times), but why when my sleep goal is actually set to 7.5hrs???
And the bedtime, I am 99% regular in that I go to bed around the same time and my alarm goes off at the same time every day, so 98% of the time I get the 30
Interruptions, I typically have to use the restroom twice per night. somewhat of an age thing, sometimes I cannot go back to sleep for some time so I know that I will highly unlikely ever get that 20.

I've woken up and felt crappy, with a score of 89, I've woken up feeling good with a score of 73 ...

I'll keep wearing my U2 for sleep tracking for the vitals (wrist temp, SpO2), but the sleep info, it continues to be a mystery and I do not get any insights into the data ...

Same here!

I discovered some great tips from the Headspace app that helped me boost my sleep score on my Apple Watch and improve my sleep tracking. It’s a subscription service, but if you qualify for lifetime access or a trial pass, you can give it a shot. Just a heads-up, HealthKit is only supported in their app for mindful minutes.

They also have an 18-video series called “Finding Your Best Sleep,” along with audio white noise, meditation, relaxation music, and bedtime stories (sleep casts) on their app.

From the series, I found some helpful videos of Headspace users sharing their sleep habits and tips. Here are a few I found useful for improving your sleep:

Try to avoid caffeine in the evening. You might notice a difference if you skip coffee for dinner or lunch instead of in the morning. Even a small amount of caffeine from a latte or espresso can still be in your system. If you don’t need to burn it off or want to avoid sleep interruptions, drink coffee in moderation and save it for tomorrow morning, or opt for something caffeine-free or NON alcoholic, like a Starbucks refresher, cranberry juice, coconut water, lemonade, or just water.

Dealing with setbacks: If you’ve had a few nights of poor sleep, remember that the next night will be better as we gradually improve. Don’t worry too much if you didn’t reach your sleep goal perfectly.

Putting worries aside: Try not to overthink things at the wrong time, like when you’re trying to relax and go to sleep. Save it for when you really need it, like when you’re at work and need to focus on important tasks.

I also like to listen to sleep meditation and relaxing music to help me focus on relaxing and slowing down before I fall asleep. Put on your AirPods, switch on the background noises and ANC, and put on your meditation with your iPhone on the dock, SCREEN OFF. Every time you get on the bed to tuck yourself in.

you slept of 1h 10 min and you get a score of 97? that is quite bizarre to be frank. unless I'm misinterpreting that number under "sleep" ...
It's a daytime nap

Bro it counted the part at the end when she went to take a nap after she woke up from sleep in the morning.

this is how it displays when I manage to take a nap after lunch. main sleep + some more. and thanks for the advice, I'll check what's available
That’s right! 😊 If you sleep in, it’ll add to your sleep tracking for that night. It’s been like this since iOS 18 and watchOS 11.

Yes, I think Headspace is a fantastic resource. I started using it in August, and it offers mindfulness resources beyond Fitness+. They also have home workout videos using minimal equipment, including Pilates, HIIT, bodyweight strength exercises, and yoga, as well as audio walking and running. Plus, they have Nike audio runs inspired by Nike Run Club. The downside is that their workouts don’t track from the app, so before watching the videos, make sure to turn on workout tracking on your Apple Watch Ultra using the workout app or a third-party app like Strava. However, their meditations, sleep casts, sleep music, focus music, and non-workout activities (excluding video tips/reels) count as mindful minutes for the activity app on your Apple Watch. ⌚️
