Is the app store going to be a part of iTunes? Unless i misunderstood, they said some apps would be available TODAY.. Where.. How?

No, they didn't say any apps were gonna be available today. The App Store will be in iTunes and an app on the iPhone. The iPhone app will download apps wirelessly over WiFi, and if they are under 10MB over Edge or 3G. The App Store is part of OS 2.0, which they said was coming "early July". As the 3G iPhone is coming out July 11, I'd bet that's the date for OS 2.0 and thus the App Store.

thanks for clarifying. I read a little further into it. he said available immediately, meaning on the the release fo the app store, not meaning today..

GAH i hate waiting.. Seems like all the build up today was for naught. For me anyways, i wasnt too interested in the new iphone.

I REALLY want the app store now though.

The StoreApp is going to be rolled into the V2 software, and iTunes will manage your purchased apps.

but you get the V2 software from updating your phone through itunes.. and i'm assuming there will also be an appstore on itunes so you can manage your apps via itunes as well. correct?

$10 is around £5.

It doesn't really work like that though when it comes to Apple as my fellow UK residents will tell.

If the US is being charged $10, we usually get charged £10.
