iPhone 7/Plus So, where is the iPhone 7 in the Apple refurb store?

If my memory serves me correctly, Apple started to sell the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus as refurbished items last November. (There's still some iPhone 6s stock in the refurb store on Apple's site, but it's dwindling.) It's late December now and there's no sign of the 7 or 7 Plus being offered as refurbished by Apple.

What gives?

I believe the 6S/6S+ were offered because the battery recall happened shortly before it. I think Apple had an influx of older models when they usually wouldn’t have, and had to find a way to sell them. Therefore they became the only refurbished iPhones for sale. Other “refurbished” iPhones like the 7 are probably in short enough stock that apple can just use them as in store replacements, and probably don’t need to sell them to reduce stock.

Good point. That makes a lot of sense.

There is no real timeline of when Apple will or will not offer a particular refurbished iPhone for sale. It's likely when they can accrue so many models/storage options they have to offer for sale.
