Hello All!

I just wanted to find out how many of you jailbroke your iphone simply because you did not want a contract with O2 and are happy to use an O2 payandgo sim.

I was lucky enough to get myself and my mum an iphone last friday and jailbroke them that night. Neither of us want or need a contract and were more than happy to use an O2 payandgo sim, we just wanted the phone for its 'two birds in one stone' functionality - (ipod & phone in one )

I ask this because i imagine alot of you are concerned, like myself, that one day we will need to restore due some unforseen circumstance and then be left with no option but to get a contract or worse lose out on our amazing gadget!

Anyone else feel this way?

No steering clear of 1.1.3 until it is worked out, but I can always restore to 1.1.1 then back up to 1.1.2 to where I am now.

Thats the problem.... I have read that you cannot do this. When you get to the step in the jailbreak process where you have to upgrade to 1.1.2 you cant because apple now only offers the 1.1.3 upgrade on itunes........?

Have you heard differently?

Its not a problem at all

Okay... so i have now found that you can simply use the 1.1.2 ipsw restore file to upgrade with, using the 'option+click' technique in itunes... is this correct?

Also have you upgraded itunes to 7.6 yet?
