First of all, I updated OTA to 5.0.1 for the first time...very cool, much more efficient and much faster. Too early to see if the update fixed my battery life (which has been horrible) but I'll report back here as soon as I can tell.

Who else updated OTA?

I updated OTA but, as you stated, too early to tell if it had any effect.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

It's clearly too early to tell but I've just updated and my battery life went from 96% whilst installing to 98% after reboot.

And no, the charger wasn't connected

My battery hasn't died ONCE since the update was released! This means I get unlimited life off a full charge now... amazing!!! THANK YOU APPLE!!!

Lol, people suppose to know if it fixed battery life and it JUST came out?...Oh okay.

Yes, we all noticed a huge battery improvement within the 2 minutes that the update has been out:rolleyes:

Next time READ the initial post. I said right away that it was too early to tell but I would report back. Clearly expected others to do the same.

5.0.1 OTA Update

Installed the update OTA. Before rebooting to complete the process, battery was at 68%, after rebooting the battery showed 56%. WTFFF

After the update I am draining at about 1% per minute, opposed to before which was 1% every 10-minutes.

This is not a good start, :apple:

I think my battery life is fixed finally!!!!

Just installed and within 8 hours of usage (web browsing, YouTube streaming, texting), it declined by mere 6%. Thanks, Apple.

That sucks, I do noticed the 4S battery going faster than my previous iphone 4 but nothing that critical.
How can you tell that you battery is worst within 5-10 of usage. Why not let it calibrate and give it a few days use? Or maybe Im too crazy to think that?

From the onset of my battery issue I have been wondering if it's the battery monitoring logarithm or if it's actually draining that fast
