I just got my first denial of content and realized how much I'll miss the times if I don't pay the piper. The cheapo subscriptions (large print weekly and book review) officially no longer include digital access.

Did you pony up? Are you holding out hope for a price drop?

I was planning on dodging the paywall using various methods, but then I got offered a free subscription until the end of 2011, so I immediately signed up. :p

I dodge the pay wall with the beautiful flipboard. Much better than the nyt app and balanced with many, many news sources. When I want my good ol liberal bias, I get The Nation :D

I've got the Lincoln thing for now, but I'm not sure what to do next year. I love the NYT, and I'm very much willing to pay for it. $20/month for iPad access is insane, though.

Yes, Lincoln! :D

Never use the app anyway -- the Times website looks perfect on an iPad. Flipboard might be a good option to keep in mind when my free subscription runs out, though right now, I don't have it on my iPad -- I never used it once I got Zite.
