So whos waiting for 5s just for the color gold?

Ill admit, Im guilty. Might be wrong but hoping next year can get a bit more for the gold phone. Im waiting on a 64g ATT from apple store. On the 7 to 10 day shipping period group. I know when I ordered last night could have been in the 1 to 3 days if chosen different color.

So any one else waiting because wouldnt take another color and was willing to wait? I have an HTC one that I will be using till then, so not in dire need of the phone.

Same boat. I ordered my 32GB Gold from Verizon at 3am, should be here by 9/24 Waiting an extra 4 days is completely worth having a rarer and appealing color.

If rumors are true, Apple is shifting its resources to up supply on Gold iPhone 5S. So if you're looking at it from a investment point of view, I wouldn't. There will be more black 5S's in a year from now, but I bet there will be plenty Gold ones as well.

I don't think it will affect price very much - the gold is limited right now, but a year from now I bet things will be evened out. There may even be more gold phones because of the initial shortage - people want what they can't have...

But I will say the gold did look really nice in the store.
