Is it correct that there will be different sounds when you get an alert through the notifications center?

in terms of

text message being different from e-mail and even apps like sportscenter alerts?

can you choose between tones for those different apps for example?

I'm not sure about third party apps, but the stock apps can have their notification sounds changed. There also might be a way to buy more tones through iTunes.
