Soaked MacBook revisited

Hey few weeks back I posted tht my MacBook pro (2007) got soaked in the rain and had issues with the keys and loading and am in a country with no apple store or refistered repair centre. Well I haven't yet gotten to opening the keyboard to fix the remaining 6 keys that won't work coz I have been busy. However I am more concerned with the booting. I am attaching a picture of my booting screen. I have never had this before but now when I load it takes ages to load(more than 10mins). Why does it do tht and how can I fix it. I am running snow leopard and I have my CD. Otherwise it functions well once it is on. What do I do

You could try a fresh install but I'd just be happy its still functioning. Be more careful next time!

Could be the HDD is failing? Have you done repair permissions check in disk utilities?

replace the Ram then the hard drive see which one is damaged most if not both?
